On Tuesday we got a teasing peek at spring when the temp sprung up to 57 degrees for a few brief hours. The warm weather got us thinking about swimsuit season, which got us sucking in our stomachs and compulsively doing sit-ups. As we exhaled, we began to imagine what summertime would be like at THE BROADWAY — sitting by the pool, hanging out in the open-air terrace and grilling at the outdoor entertaining space. This little respite was almost enough to cure our winter blahs and make us renew our gym memberships. Until Wednesday morning when we stepped outside, and our newspaper was frozen to our dog.

A few new features for our site

Pool and Performing Arts Center.
It's too much to hope that you could actually take in the exciting events at the new performing arts center from the third-floor pool and outdoor terrace. Still, a view of what's destined to become a signature piece of Kansas City architecture is something to be savored.
